The Partisan Folk Club was opened on Sunday 9th August 1964, at the White Lion, The Horsefair, Birmingham. The aim of the club was to raise funds for the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament. Early guests included Tony McCarthy, Charles Parker and Joan Smith. A poster for the opening night can be seen below, with their opening guest being Tony McCarthy.
