Bob Lapworth started the Dungeon Folk Club at the Angel in late 1965, alongside Alan White It moved to the Drovers Arms and was known to be running there on May 5th 1969 (Broadside '69 advert). Alan left the area to go and live down south some time after the club moved to the Drovers. Unfortunately, due to falling audience numbers the Dungeon closed early in 1970
